The Rab Women’s Muon ND40L Hiking Pack is the smaller backpack in Rab’s series of ultralight trekking backpacks. Its 40L main compartment is ideally sized for overnight thru-hikes and the most minimal weekends spent backpacking. Rab made it out of Spectra ripstop woven with Cordura and finished in Hydroshield for a surprising strength-to-weight ratio and long-lasting weather protection. Rab’s Tri-Flex carry system combines lumbar support, hipbelt padding, and wider wraparound shoulder straps that were inspired by running vests. The Muon closes with a roll top that stays secure without adding weight. There’s a sleeve inside the main compartment that Rab sized for 3L hydration reservoirs, and multiple port exits let you take a sip on the trail from your left or right shoulder. Outside the pack, there are trekking pole attachments and a large front stash pocket for layers.
