The verbena, or vervain, is a member of the Verbenaceae family and originally native to Paraguay. The tapered leaves are dried and cut. They contain around 0.5 percent essential oil with a delightful lemony fragrance. Although the plant is not hardy, it is also grown in Europe. However, we have selected the top-quality, organically grown original variety from Paraguay for our tea, as its special lemon scent is unsurpassed.
